ABS offers a health care package that enables our employees to choose a health care option that best suits their individual needs. We also know it is important for our employees to balance a successful career with a healthy lifestyle, involving family, friends and community, and we offer a range of benefits to help you achieve that balance.

ABS US Benefits Summary

Medical Coverage: ABS offers employees two medical plans to choose from: the Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) Medical plan and the BCBS High Deductible (HD) plan with an optional health spending account (HD HSA).

Dental Coverage: ABS offers a dental plan from MetLife. Preventive and diagnostic services are covered at 100 percent.

Vision: ABS offers a vision plan provided by VSP. The plan is designed to give employees and their family access to quality vision care at discounted rates.

Flexible Spending Accounts:
Pretax dollars can be deducted to pay for eligible health care and dependent day care expenses.

Employee Life Insurance: ABS employees are provided basic life insurance and offered 4 additional levels.

Family Life Insurance: ABS offers three levels of family coverage.

Disability: Both Short Term and Long Term Disability coverage is provided and employees are offered an additional level of Long Term Disability.

Vacation: During the first and second year of employment, employees receive
80 hours of vacation (the first year is prorated based on hire date). For calendar years three through six, employees receive 120 hours; 160 hours for calendar years seven through 14; and 200 hours for 15 years or more.

Sick Leave: ABS employees are allotted 48 hours of sick leave per year, prorated the first year of employment based on hire date.

Personal Leave: ABS employees are eligible for 24 hours of personal leave time that is prorated for the first year of employment based on hire date.

Holidays: ABS observes an average of 11

401k Savings Plan: A 401k savings plan is offered to ABS employees for pretax savings.

Pension Plan: Employees that are at least 30 years of age are automatically enrolled in the ABS Pension Plan on the first day of the month following the date of hire.  Employees between the ages of 21 and 30 are eligible on the first day of the month after completing a year of service.

Tuition Assistance: ABS supports personal development and training and encourages employees to continue their educations. Full-time employees who have completed at least six months of service are eligible to participate in the program. Eligible expenses include tuition fees, regular instruction and labs and required textbooks. Annual policy limits for reimbursement do apply.

9/80 Work Schedule: ABS Houston Corporate Office offers a voluntary alternative work-week program.  This schedule requires employees to work a traditional 80-hour pay period compressed into nine days with every other Friday off.

Fitness Center: The ABS Fitness Center offers employees working in or traveling to the Houston Corporate office a safe environment to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Credit Union: An agreement with Member Source Credit Union allows employees of ABS to participate in various savings and loan options.
